Paste (Ctrl/⌘+V) or drop an image — or import from a URL
Resize GIF scales an animated GIF to any width and height while keeping every frame in motion — entirely in your browser. Unlike most online GIF resizers, this one never uploads your file: the GIF is decoded frame by frame, each frame is resampled with premultiplied bilinear filtering so edges stay crisp and transparency is preserved, and the animation is re-encoded locally with a fresh palette per frame. Lock the aspect ratio to scale proportionally, or unlock it to stretch to exact dimensions, then use the quick-scale buttons for instant 25%, 50% or 200% versions. There is no watermark and no sign-up, and your GIF never leaves your device — the privacy-first alternative to ezgif and other upload-based resizers.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I resize an animated GIF?
Upload your GIF, type a new width and height (or tap a quick-scale button), then click Resize GIF and download the result. Every frame is rescaled and the animation is re-encoded right in your browser in a couple of seconds.
Will resizing keep the aspect ratio?
Yes, if you leave Lock aspect ratio on — changing the width updates the height automatically so the GIF never looks stretched. Turn the lock off when you want to force exact, non-proportional dimensions.
Does resizing reduce quality?
Scaling down stays sharp thanks to premultiplied bilinear sampling, which also stops transparent edges from picking up dark halos. Scaling far beyond the original size will look softer, as it must with any resizer, and each frame is re-encoded within the GIF format's 256-colour-per-frame limit.
Is my GIF uploaded to a server?
Never. Decoding, resampling and re-encoding all happen locally with JavaScript in your browser. Your GIF is not uploaded, there is no sign-up, and the tool keeps working offline once the page has loaded.
