Upload an image to crop into a circle
Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, WEBP, BMP, GIF (non-animated)
Paste (Ctrl/⌘+V) or drop an image — or import from a URL
A circle crop turns a rectangular photo into a round one — the shape every profile picture, avatar, and team-page headshot uses. Image Machine fits your image to a centred circle inside a square canvas, then lets you zoom in and nudge it left, right, up, or down to frame a face perfectly inside the ring. The corners are left fully transparent, so the result is a true round PNG you can drop onto any background — or you can fill them with a solid colour for platforms that don't support transparency. Add an optional border ring in any colour for a clean outlined avatar. Everything runs in your browser with the HTML canvas: your photo is never uploaded, there's no sign-up, no watermark, and no quality loss.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I crop an image into a circle?
Upload your photo and Image Machine instantly crops it to a centred circle. Use the Zoom slider to scale the image inside the circle and the Horizontal and Vertical sliders to position a face or subject exactly where you want it. When it looks right, download — the corners are transparent by default, so you get a clean round PNG ready to use as a profile picture.
Will the background be transparent?
Yes. By default the area outside the circle is fully transparent, so your circular crop sits cleanly on any colour or page. If you need an opaque image instead — for example to save as JPG or to match a specific page colour — switch the Background option to Solid color and pick the fill colour for the corners.
Can I add a border around the circle?
Yes. Use the Border slider to add a ring around the circle and choose its colour — handy for outlined avatars, story-style rings, or making a light photo stand out on a white page. Set the border back to 0 for a plain circle crop with no ring.
Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. The crop runs entirely in your browser using the HTML canvas, so your image never leaves your device. It works offline once the page has loaded, with no sign-up, no watermark, and no re-compression of the pixels inside the circle.
