Frequently Asked Questions

How do I resize an image to a specific pixel size?

Upload your image, switch to pixel mode, and type the exact width and height you need (for example 800×600). Keep the aspect-ratio lock on to preserve proportions, or turn it off to stretch to precise dimensions, then download the resized file.

Will resizing an image reduce its quality?

Making an image smaller keeps it sharp because you are discarding pixels you do not need. Enlarging beyond the original can look soft, since the browser has to invent new pixels, so resize down rather than up whenever possible for the crispest result.

What size should I resize my image to for Instagram or YouTube?

Instagram square posts work best at 1080×1080, portrait at 1080×1350, and stories at 1080×1920. YouTube thumbnails use 1280×720. Type any of these into the width and height fields and download.

How do I resize an image without changing its aspect ratio?

Keep the aspect-ratio lock enabled. When you set a new width the height updates automatically (and vice versa), so your photo never looks stretched. Disable the lock only when you deliberately want non-proportional dimensions.

Is there a file-size or resolution limit?

There is no artificial cap. Because resizing runs entirely on your device, the only limit is your browser's memory, so even large multi-megapixel photos resize smoothly — with no daily limits, watermarks, or sign-ups.
