Frequently Asked Questions

How do I remove the white space around an image?

Upload the image and the tool scans inward from each edge, detecting the uniform border and cropping it off automatically. You get a tightly-cropped result with the surrounding white space gone.

Can it trim a transparent border too?

Yes. Auto Trim detects transparent padding just like a solid color, so it crops PNGs and logos down to their visible pixels without you measuring anything.

What if the border is not perfectly uniform?

A tolerance setting lets you treat near-matching pixels — such as a slightly noisy scan background — as part of the border, so the trim still works when the edge is not a perfectly flat color.

Is the image uploaded to trim it?

No. The border detection and crop run entirely in your browser, so your image never leaves your device.
